Our Organisational History

In 2000, State and Commonwealth Government bodies together with the local City of Joondalup council were in agreement to see a new community-based, non government organisation located in the northern suburbs: an organisation that would be small enough to be responsive to service-users' needs, and large enough to attract additional services.

On 19th December 2000 the City of Joondalup Council approved a change to the human service delivery model and the establishment of a new community-based service delivery organization for the municipality.

In 2001 a group of people committed to delivering inclusive support services across the ages established a new Incorporated not for profit organisation called "Community Vision Inc".

In July 2001, Community Vision Inc was formally established when the City of Joondalup transferred the management of their Aged Care services and a Family Day Care Scheme to Community Vision. It was agreed that the services would continue to be administered from the City of Joondalup's Boas Avenue premises.

Since that time, Community Vision has remained true to the original founders belief in developing a range of additional inclusive support services across the age span.
