Community Vision is a not-for-profit community-based organisation

established to provide services

to people of all ages and abilities.

History

On 2nd July, 2001 employees of the new community organisation, Community Vision, assembled for the first time in its leased offices on the 2nd floor of the City of Joondalup Administration Building at 90 Boas Ave.

The genesis of the new organisation dates back to 8th August, 2000 when the City of Joondalup Council was asked by the City’s Community Services Directorate to consider a proposal for a change to City’s community service delivery model.

The City’s became involved in the delivery of community services simply because there were no non-government service providers in the northern suburbs during the City’s rapid development.

However, it soon became evident that provision of community services would be better suited to a not-for-profit, community based organisation.

Following the extended consultation process, Community Vision Inc. was formally established when the City of Joondalup transferred the management of their Aged Care services and a Family Day Care Scheme to Community Vision. It was agreed that the services would continue to be administered from the City of Joondalup’s Boas Avenue premises.

And in 15 years since our inception, we have grown to become a well known and well respected provider of essential community service to people of all ages and abilities in Perth.
