Kaleigh has been apart of the Community Vision Family for just under a year. She is an experienced marketer empowered by creative thinking and driven by a passion for telling peoples stories.

She is a philanthropist and often seen jumping out of aeroplanes raising money for Breast Cancer. A food lover who films weekly cooking videos from her own kitchen. And a creative who has her own unique style.

We got to know Kaleigh a little better when she answered a few personal questions:

What do you do at Community Vision?

I am the marketing and communications manager.

In what circumstances would a customer or other staff member come to you for something?

Anything regarding visual, written or verbal representation for Community Vision.

What’s one professional skill you’re currently working on?

I am currently studying for my Master’s degree in Marketing Management, so I can say everything Marketing!

What’s your go-to productivity trick?

List it! I LOVE lists. Whether written or using productivity platforms such as Trello, I love to have complete transparency and sight over every little job I am working on.

Are you an early bird or a night owl?

My mornings usually start at 4:30 am so absolutely an early bird!

Who has influenced you most when it comes to how you approach your work?

I have been lucky enough to work with some great leaders throughout my career and their guidance has shaped who I am today.

What behaviour or personality trait do you most attribute your success to, and why?

I very much approach any task with an open mind and I am not afraid to ask for help.

How do you like to start your day?

I like to start my day with an Italian shot of coffee and good work out in the gym.

How do you like to end your day?

I like to end my day by having herbal tea and a piece of dark chocolate which is often shared with my head in a study book.

What was your first job?

I worked in Sainsbury’s on the meat and fish counter. I was taught by 80-year-old Jim the butcher how to debone a leg of lamb and fillet a fish, which over the years has proved rather handy to know!

What’s a mistake you made early on in your career, and what did you learn from it?

Trying to control other people’s opinions of me. Growing to accept myself as enough, is probably the most liberating thing I have ever done.

What led you to this career?

I have always been passionate about people, brand and stories. It seemed only fitting that I step into a career that allows me to act on my passions.

What energizes you at work?

The Positivity. There is great energy in the office as we all love what we do…. Well that, and the bowl of chocolate in the office kitchen.

What drains you at work?

The “to hard basket”. For someone who has been profiled as an “influencing doer” this mentality, infuriates me!

What’s one thing that surprised you about working at Community Vision?

The cultural and generational diversity. I love it.

What’s your biggest work pet peeve?

People who don’t replace the toilet roll in the ladies toilets.

What’s the biggest misconception people have about your position?

That we are designers. Marketing is extremely broad, so I can understand why.

If you won the lottery tomorrow what would you do?

It’s boring but I would pay off our Mortgage and Study Loans.
