Important COVID-19 Update from Community Vision

We hope you and your family are keeping safe as we move into a 5-day lockdown as announced by the State Government yesterday. The announcement calls for Metropolitan Perth, Peel and the South West to be in lockdown from 6 pm Sunday 31st January until 6 pm Friday 5th February.

Our number one concern is always the safety of our customers and our team. As an essential service, Community Vision will continue to provide services for our customers as we did in March last year and we are positive that our thriving community will support each other once again to get through this lockdown.

A member of our team will call you between Monday the 1st and Tuesday the 2nd of February 2021 to provide further information and options for your support. If you have any concerns for your own safety or the safety of a loved one, we can offer some of our services virtually or one on one so please discuss your needs with your Customer Service Officer when we call.

Keep in mind that you are required to stay at home unless you need to:

  • work because you can’t work from home or remotely
  • shop for essentials like groceries, medicine and necessary supplies
  • meet medical or health care needs including compassionate requirements and looking after others
  • exercise, which you can do with only one other person, limited to one hour per day in your neighbourhood while wearing a mask

If you are experiencing any of the symptoms below or have visited any of the locations listed here, please present for a COVID-19 test as soon as possible. You can find your closest testing location here.

COVID-19 Symptoms include:

  • fever
  • dry cough
  • tiredness
  • aches and pains
  • sore throat
  • loss of taste and smell

To make sure we can support you safely, we are re-instating our ‘I’M OK’ red and green card system that worked so well last year. If you still have the cards, please display in your window to indicate to our staff how you are going. If you’re not sure what this is or you need new cards, just ask your Customer Service Officer from Community Vision when they call and they will help you with this.

We will have personal protective equipment packs available to you if you would like them – please ask your Community Service Officer for one when they call.

Remember to continue to do the COVID 3 – wash your hands regularly, physically distance from others and wear a face mask when outside of your home.
