Veterans’ Home Care
We are an Assessment and Coordination Agency for the Veterans’ Home Care (VHC) Program. This program is funded by the Department of Veteran’s Affairs (DVA) and its purpose is to assist eligible war veterans and war widows/widowers who may need some practical help such as.
- domestic assistance: house cleaning, laundry, bill paying and shopping
- personal care: assistance with self-care including bathing, dressing and grooming
- safety-related home and garden maintenance
- respite services
Please note that VHC programs is not designed to meet complex or high-level care needs.
Eligibility for Veterans’ Home Care Services: Australian veterans or mariners, or war widows/widowers of Australian veterans or mariners, who have a Repatriation Health Card – for all conditions (Gold) or Repatriation Health Card – for specific conditions (White) may be assessed for all VHC Services.
